Our philosophy – Wine with heart and energy

For us, it's not about perfection at any cost – it's about vibrancy, authenticity, and a taste that touches the soul. "Prana" means life energy – and that's precisely the energy that resides in our wines. Every bottle tells the story of our vineyards, our meticulous handiwork, and our passion for genuine, unadulterated enjoyment.

We focus on natural winemaking methods, spontaneous fermentation, and minimal intervention in the cellar. No fining agents, unfiltered, minimal sulfur – as much vineyard work as possible, as little cellar work as necessary. Our goal: wines that are not just drunk, but experienced, felt, and shared.

Our vineyards – vibrant, diverse, connected to nature

Our 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the Rheingau are more than just soil – they are living organisms. Renowned sites like Oestricher Lenchen, Hasensprung, St. Nikolaus, and Doosberg lend our grapes structure, minerality, and character. We are committed to organic farming, biodiversity, and healthy soils because only healthy vines can produce complex, vibrant wines.

In addition to Riesling, we cultivate Pinot Noir and PIWI varieties, which are sustainable and resilient. Our vineyards are places of diversity where nature, climate, and people work hand in hand – each vine a small miracle, each grape a promise of vibrant wines.

We – Cosi & Nik, the winemaker behind Prana

We are Cosima (“Cosi”) and Niklas (“Nik”), young, passionate, and always putting our hearts into it. Our path led us from Geisenheim University directly to our own vineyards, without any old family tradition – just with courage, ideas, and the vision to live winemaking differently, in a modern and sustainable way.

We pick every grape by hand, accompany every wine from the vine to the glass, and believe that wine is an expression of people, place, and time – and a feeling that connects us. We are supported by family, friends, and dedicated helpers – because at Prana, wine is not just work, but community, passion, and joy.
